At Lekki British School, we are adopting a number of innovations that are not readily found in other Nigerian schools I have seen.
A Specialism in Science, another in Sport, a third in Entrepreneurialism, and an emphasis on Technology will make us unique.
Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology are the focuses of most governments in the world today. We intend to emphasise this growing requirement throughout our school.
Our Academy of Sport will take our children’s sporting experience to a whole new level and hopefully raise the bar of their achievements.
Entrepreneurialism is an innate Nigerian characteristic we intend to foster this with commercial enterprise experiences.
Lekki British School is a private secondary school for boys and girls aged 11 to 18 with outstanding facilities in a safe and secure residential setting set on 25 acres of land in Lekki Phase 1 Lagos. As a School it combines the best of Nigerian and British education with the objective of offering a quality education to develop each student to their full potential.
Our Founder, Ms Laja has an exceptional love of Nigerian children and a devotion to their wholisitc education.

As I welcome you to Lekki British School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all, having taught and been involved in Education and school improvement in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates, I have been fortunate to witness the education systems across these countries. I am aware of the great desire of Nigerian parents to provide their children with every opportunity to succeed in life. At LBS, that is part of our vision. To enable this to happen we are providing an up to date facility that has at its’ heart a strong ethos of family, learning and achievement. We believe that every child has the right to learn and that every child has the ability to learn. It is our job as educators to ensure that the School supplies the right conditions for this learning to take place, and it is my job as the Principal to ensure that it does.
