LBS offers a home away from home experience in a modern, secure, comfortable conducive environment.

Our priority is to ensure boarders discover, develop and nurture their talents. We strive to help our boarders achieve their full potential by caring for their physical, emotional, academic and social needs. Students build a strong bond with other students as well as with residential staff, most of whom are also their teachers and coaches during the day at school.

Staff: Every boarder is well looked after by an experienced House Master/Mistress and their team of Deputy House Parent, Matron (a certified nurse) and House Tutor, who serve as their Loco Parentis. These Loco Parentis work closely with the school’s academic and management staff to ensure boarders perform well academically by cultivating independent and disciplined approach to work. Loco Parentis also organise recreational and social activities and check in on them regularly; chatting informally and building rapport. As such, boarders develop and flourish within a conducive and nurturing environment.

Accommodation: The school provides a comfortable living environment. Boarders are taught to be independent as well as co-exist with each other. Boys and girls are housed in separate boarding houses consisting of ensuite air-conditioned rooms, a students’ lounge with ultra-modern facilities, air-conditioned five-station kitchen and laundry room.

Sixth formers are accommodated in induvial bedrooms in our Sixth Form Flats, which are two- or three-bedroom flats within each boarding house. These are designed to help prepare them for independent university living on completion of their A levels.

Dining: Our exceptional head chef and his team of sous chefs provide three nutritionally balanced meals, and afternoon tea daily, to meet boarders’ dietary requirements including the World Health Organisation’s recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables per day. All meals and snacks are served in the refectory. Additionally, a constant supply of freshly baked bread from the school bakery, butter, jam and peanut butter along with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and drinking water are provided in the lounges. Further, boarders wishing to explore or develop their culinary expertise, may avail themselves of the excellent facilities in our air-conditioned five-station kitchens located within the boarding houses. Parents are invited to host cookery classes in our kitchens to inspire boarders to learn how to make their favorite dishes.

Security and Safety: The boarding houses are well secured against intrusion and crime. A constant police presence and well-trained security personnel are on duty 24 hours a day. The school conforms to Health, Safety and Environment standards. Boarding houses are also equipped with smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and fire blankets along with two exit points.

Medical Services: LBS takes the health of all students seriously. The school has sick bays and resident nurses. Additionally, the school has an established arrangement with a nearby modern, private pediatric hospital where cases requiring further medical attention are referred in consultation with their parents.

Extra-curricular Activities: The physical well-being of students is not left out. Students can choose from a variety of sporting activities like rugby, football, basketball, swimming, athletics, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and fencing. Full boarders also undertake sporting activities during weekends.

Boarding at LBS is a transformative experience and provides the perfect setting for an unparalleled educational experience.
